INSPIRATION OF THE DAY.....2/12/11

This year's trip to Provincetown, MA was inspiration in itself.  However sitting on the private beach of our condo gave me a chance to research and work on ART.  From here on out I'll post an "Inspiration of the day"  to keep myself motivated and thriving.  In particular this photo inspires me to be free and creative....an ode to this blog in itself!

ReelDirector App Review

WELL WELL WELL....after doing things the hard way....ReelDirector App seems to have all of the bells and whistles I've been missing to make photograph slideshows and most importantly adding a media element for choreography! For the whole investment of $1.99 on the itunes store...this was a critical solution to the problem I've been having for the last 5 months. Lady Gaga - Born This Way (Audio)

I've been waiting....and Lady Gaga does it again. Perhaps her best song of her career putting her full self out there and not following that cookie cutter, gum drop type. I appreciate her for many different reasons...but perhaps mostly for just being herself and being able to pull off her art. Choreography to come soon!

Straight No Chaser - The Christmas Can-Can (Single Edit)

Tis' the time of year to be a bit cynical and lose the meaning why I celebrate to begin with....the pace of this song alone reminds me of the crazy running I do every year.  MY NEW PHILOSOPHY:  I don't believe in organized religion....I always refer to this time of year as "The Holiday" meaning:  A time to celebrate/appreciate life and reflect on the last year.  Surrounding myself with all things sparkely, food, and good people.  A new tradition starts this year.  A HAPPY HOLIDAY TO YOU ALL!  *jingle*

WHITE CHRISTMAS :SNOW

YES, it is that time of year again....SNOW!  If I have to live with it, this song always helps me get in that mode.  From the musical White Christmas featuring music by Irving Berlin, this is one of my favorite songs in the show.  It reminds me of being a kid and getting excited about skiing, skating, sledding to name a few!  White Christmas has been translated to the stage and will be playing locally at......

I must admit the recent snow here in MN covered the trees in a beautiful way and inspired to me to think about creating a dance piece based on the arrival of another extreme season in MN.  I will try to post up the pictures of some of the trees I have been looking at ..... now if I can just find  those winter clothes to keep me warm outside that long....brrr
